ZIP Launchpad | Brand Identity
Overview
XR Athletics is a student owned startup supported by SDSU's renowned ZIP Launchpad. Founded by SDSU student Jacob Taylor, XR Athletics combines VR technology with exercise to create a one of a kind experience. The adjectives cyberpunk and futuristic were given as guidelines. Deliverables like an environmental wall, stationery set, webpage layout, and gear info graphic was made.
Logotype Sketches
Sketches started off with seeing how the characters X and R would interact with each other in various ways. Different lengths of the name was also explored.
Color Palette & Font
Bright colors associated with cyber punk like pinks, purples, blues, and blacks became the main palette for this system. The use of gradients with this colors were to convey a feeling of futurism and modernity as the colors blend seamlessly. The fonts are sans serifs that gives off a contemporary feeling that compliments the brand.
Final System
The final system is made to create a sense of a "other-world," where the consumer is able to escape reality while being healthy. Spaceship inspired paneling further pushes that emotion.
